James Biography

James is a construction labourer who had never had formal music or singing lessons before recording his first demo CD in March 2008. But he has a natural gift and innate timing, blending strength and sensitivity to create a pallette of shades across a wide vocal range. When well known Queensland opera performer and teacher Jason Barry-Smith heard James sing Puccini's Nessum Dorma in his first lesson, he told channel 9's Sunday Sunrise that it "Knocked my socks off".

James has continued voice training with Jason Barry-Smith and is keen to perform and record aria recitals with more musicians and with orchestras. He is also looking for corporate or private sponsorships to help achieve these goals.
